School Wide Positive Behaviour Support

Our behaviour processes are guided by the ‘DOBCEL Behaviour Management Policy and Procedures’ and the 'CECV Positive Behaviour Guidelines’ which are both available on our school website.

School Wide Positive Positive Behaviour Supports (SWPBS) is an approach to discipline and behaviour management which emphasises whole-school systems of support that include proactive strategies for defining, teaching and supporting appropriate student behaviours to create positive school environments.

At St Patrick's, we implement School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) to proactively teach and reinforce positive social behaviours, rather than just reacting to misbehaviour. We focus on establishing a culture where appropriate behaviour is the norm. Our school rule emphasizes being Safe, Respectful, and Learners.

We are dedicated to developing our students' personal and social skills through Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), which equips them with essential life skills to manage themselves, their relationships, and their responsibilities ethically. Our Wellbeing classes use an educational approach to behaviour and emotional regulation, similar to our academic focus.

We also have established behaviour management policies and anti-bullying strategies in line with government and Diocesan requirements.
